- 10.
This program was derived from industry, INPO, and NRC experience and guidance to ensure that selected MOVs are set and maintained to operate under design-basis conditions for the life of the plant.
As stipulated by Generic Letter 89-10 items a through k and as discussed in detail at the NRG workshop in Rockville, Maryland, on September 26, 1989, we are conducting the necessary reviews, analyses, verifications, tests, and inspections in order to meet the schedule and recommendations provided in the Generic Letter. The results of the actions noted above will be reported to you within 30 days of their completion as required by Generic Letter 89-10.
Our MOV Program is structured to allow a similar approach for Motor Operated Dampers. Development of this aspect of the program will be initiated based on the workshop discussions since the Generic Letter does not specifically address Motor Operated Dampers.
