License Nos.89-479 50-280 50-281 50-338 50-339 DPR-32 DPR-37 NPF-4 NPF-7 Virginia Electric and Power Company is implementing a fitness-for-duty program which complies with the regulations identified in 1 O CFR Part 26. We support the objective of providing assurances that nuclear power plant personnel will perform their tasks in a reliable and trustworthy manner and are not under the influence of any substance which might adversely affect their ability to safely and competently perform their duties. By implementing the described program we hope to ensure a safe working environment.
In accordance with 1 O CFR PART 26 Appendix A guidelines section 1.1, Virginia Electric and Power Company has chosen to set more stringent cut-off levels, and to test for additional substances than those identified in Appendix A section 2.7. The differences between the Appendix A guidance and the Virginia Electric and Power Company program are delineated in Attachment I, "Comparison of Cut-off Levels".
To the best of our knowledge, Virginia Electric and Power Company certifies that our program meets the requirements as described in 1 OCFR Part 26. This Program will be implemented and functional on January 3, 1990. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact us immediately.
