on June 22, I called you to ask about my letters. ', talked to Frank Ingram. I told him that I had written two letters to you about problems at commonwealth Edison nuclear plants. He said that the letters had probably been sent to the Region for action. I replied that I had already corresponded with the Region; that I wrote to you betause action by the Region was unsatisfactory. Mr. Ingram tol'4 me he would look into the g situation. ~ ,y 'o.m on July 7, 1988, I wrote you to describe how the nuclear industry has overlooked the most important lesson from the 4'

Three Mile Island accident. I described how a management official, a Senior Operator, stationed in the control room in ['L //

charge of operations, would have prevented the accident. I enclosed two studies to support this conclusion. I wrote this Ph./,P' 6/ r letter and sent you the studies because I know you advocate c(t j ,c) stationing a man, a Senior operator, in the control room in /, ,f charge of operations. I made the studies while working f or y .c. e4' Commonwealth Edison. F <0' s .@~
