SUBJECT:
Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2
. Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 Additional Information Concerning Proposed Combined Emergency Operations Facility Emergency Response Organization Exercises
Dear Sir:
This letter-is being submitted to provide information regarding Philadelphia Electric Company's (PECo's) Emergency Response Organization (ERO) exercises for Limerick Generating Station (LGS),
Units 1 and 2 and Peach Bottom Atomic Power. Station (PBAPS), Units' 2 and 3.
'This information was requested by NRC representatives during discussions at a December 21, 1989 meeting with PECo personnel
- concerning the proposed combined Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) located in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
PECo currently conducts at least two (2) practice drills and one (1) full NRC-observed emergency exercise per year for each LGS and PBAPS.
These exercises require full participation of ERO personnel, and require activation of each station's EOF and Technical Support Center (TSC).
In addition, unannounced quarterly callouts_of
.ERO personnel are performed at each station, with at least one (1) callout per year per station requiring full participation of ERO personnel at their assigned facility.

.Page 2 PECo will continue to conduct ERO exercises for LGS and PBAPS, incorporating the combined EOF when it becomes operational.
The functions of ERO personnel assigned to the Headquarters Emergency Support Center (HESC) would be transferred to the new EOF.
Accordingly, these personnel would be part of the ERO mobilized to staff the new EOP.
Therefore, the ERO exercises and callouts would necessitate activation of the combined EOF approximately eight (8) times per year, with some being performed off-hours and unannounced.
