McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Semi-Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report Gentlemen:

Pursuant to McGuire Technical Specification 6.9.1.7, attached is the Subject Report for the period of July, 1989 to December 1989.

Revisions were made to Duke's Process Control Program (PCP) and Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM) during the reporting period. These revisions are included as Enclosures 1 and 2, respectively. Enclosure 1 contains Control Copies 26-31 of McGuire-Specific PCP, Revision 8; Catawba-Specific PCP, Revision 4; and Duke-Generic PCP, Revision 4. Control Copy Number 22 of each of these revisions is being forwarded to Region II.

Enclosure 2 contains Control Copy Number 50 of Revisions 25-28 of the ODCM.

These four revisions affect the Catawba, McGuire, Oconee, and Generic Sections of the ODCM, respectively. Control Copy 42 of each revision is being provided to the Region.

As a result of radiation releases from McGuire Nuclear Station, no member of the public received an annual calculated dose exceeding those set forth in 40CFR Part 190. This determination was made considering that there are no other fuel cycle facilities nearby which would significantly increase the dose to any member of the public.
