Dear sirs:
This is a request under the federal Freedom of Information Act for documents, including, but not limited to, memoranda, reports, audits and correspondence, relating to the following:
1.) A study or investigation, believed to have begun in about early 1983, by the NRC's Office of Inspector and Auditor, of the NRC's handling of the Braidwood civil penalty issued in 1982 and/or of any NRC supervision of Braidwood.
2.) A report by OIA begun March 23, 1984, and completed Aug. 31, 1984, entitled, " Review of NRC's Quality Assurance Inspection Program for Reactors under Construction."
3.) Any OIA or Office of Investigations (OI) study or investigation concerning Braidwood, Byron, LaSalle, Zion, Dresden, Quad Cities or any combination thereof, during either construction or operation of each plant.
4.) To the extent that records under point 3.] are not releasable because these investigations are currently ongoing, please list the number of such investigations ongoing for each plant and the date the investigation began, identifying in each case whether it is an OI or OIA matter.
5.] Any complaints or allegations brought to the NRC's attention concerning the construction or operation of Braidwood, Byron, LaSalle, Zion, Dresden, Quad Cities or any combination thereof, by any employee of Commonwealth Edison Co. or any subcontractor or contractor at each plant.
6.) To the extent that any such documents concerning complaints or allegations are not releasable because they are currently being investigated, please indicate the number and date of such allegations. To the extent that release of these materials would conflict with the Privacy Act, please strike any such names from the material.
