We are vnry happy to note your reappointment to the Chairmanship of the Atomic Energy Commission for another term and take this opportunity to congratulate you as well as discuss 'the preposal to locate a Nuclear Remoter at Beidega Ba), This to many of us in the Bay Area, seems most ill advised. ,

We are therefore glad that the Atomio Evergy Comissio.n will review the proposal and trust that you will insist that the final decision v.111 not be based solely en the natural desire to develop the peaesful use of Atomio Eneirgy but will weiGh well the hazards due to this particular location. For not only is the proposed location practically on the San Andress Fault but the prevaling winds would con tinuously carry vapor produced. wastes over:the pastures and fams on which tho ilk for the Day area is largely Further, wh'at effect would such a Flant have en the l! art .no Life which is said to supply the commercial catch exceeding that of Fisherman's Wh . arf. Iast, but not least, such a Plant with it's radiating power lines would ruin g un ique and one of the treet beautiful spott on the whole Coast.
