REPORT MONTH Unit 3 operated at approximately 100%reactor power until September 23, 1996.On the morning of September 24 two rods were dropped due to a control card failure in the control rod drive cabinet for those rods.Shortly afterward, the unit was taken to Mode 3 to replace the control card.Unit 3 was taken to Mode 2 early in the morning of September 27 and to Mode 1 late that evening.The unit returned to 100%reactor power late in the morning of September 28, 1996 and continued at essentially that power level thru the end of the month.

1 Unit 4 operated at approximately 100%reactor power until September 14, 1996.That morning, power was reduced to 60%power to repair a relief valve on a main feedwater pump suction line and to perform turbine valve testing.Power was returned to 100%reactor power late in the afternoon on September 15.The Unit remained at essentially that power level for the remainder of the month.
