Discussion The staff and the applicant discussed RAI 4. 7.3-1, regarding condition monitoring activities described in certain of the applicant's EQ binders which are required to be performed to ensure that the mechanical subcomponents under consideration will meet the qualified lives criteria as discussed in TLAA Section 4.7.3, "Mechanical Environmental Qualification." The staff and the applicant discussed the various aspects of the request to gain a common understanding of the issue. The applicant indicated it understood the RAI and will factor in the staff's concerns as it prepares its response.
