SUMMARY
OF THE JUNE 2, 2022, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2021 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF BRAIDWOOD STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, AND BYRON STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 On June 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CDT), an information meeting with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2021 end-of-cycle plant performance assessment of Braidwood Station and Byron Station, and with general information on the NRC. The open house was held virtually via Microsoft Teams. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public. Representatives from Constellation Nuclear were also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Braidwood Stations and Byron Stations performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 2, 2022, end-of-cycle assessment letters (ADAMS Accession No. ML22055B031 and ML22055B054, respectively). Representatives from the NRC made links to those letters, inspection reports, fact sheets and brochures, and other public documents available to those in attendance.
