On July 8,1983 the NRC issued Generic Letter (GL) 83-28 requesting that all licensees of opetrating reactors, applicants for an operating license and holders of construction permits respond to generic issues raised by the ,

staff's investigation of two anticipated-transient-without-scram (ATWS) events which occurred at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant in February 1983. By the letter dated April 6,1984 you responded to G.L. 83-28. Enclosed is the l staff's evaluation of your response to Item 2.2 Part 1.
