Dear Mr. Knighton:

Pursuant to the Environmental Qualification Audit of January 4-6, 1983, the staff has made several requests for additional information. The purpose of this letter and its attachments is to address these requests.

Attachment 1 contains a list of all post-accident monitoring equipment currently installed or expected to be installed prior to plant operation, that is specified as Category 1 and 2 in Revision 2 of Regulatory Guide 1.97. The equipment iden-tified in a harsh environment is included in the environmental qualification program.

Attachment 2 provides a list of all TMI Action Plan equipment (by Categories listed in NUREG-0737) installed, or expected to be installed e cior to operation, with its qualification status and equipment tag number (where applicable). All equipment identified;in a harsh environment is included in the environmental qualification program.

It is the intent of this letter that the above information, in conjunction with the attachments provided, adequately addresses the staff's concerns on the above subject items.
