The purpose of this letter is to provide notification of change in operator status per 10CFR50.74 due to Entergy Corporation consolidating the operation of all its nuclear generating facilities, including Waterford 3, under one company, Entergy Operations, Inc. As indicated in our June 6, 1990 letter (copy attached) to the NRC, the management change officially became ef fective on June 6,1990. In this regard, there is a continued need for all currently licensed personnel at Waterford 3 to retain their licenses as ,

Entergy Operations, Inc. employees.  ;

Amandment Implementation i i

Gentlemen License Amendment No. 60 issued December 14, 1989, authorizes the transfer of control and performance of licensed activities for Waterford 3 from Loulslana Power k Light (LP&L) to Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy Operations) . The conditions in the amendment were required to be implemented within 180 days of the date of issuance and upon the official transfer of responalb!!!tles between LP&L and Entergy Opentions.

This letter is to inform you that LP&L has received all necessary regulatory ,

approvals to transfer operating responsibility for Waterford 3 to Entergy Opentions and all conditions in Amendment No. 60 to the Facility Operating License have been implemented. Effective this date, responsibility for the opemtion of Waterford 3 has been tmnsferred to Entergy Operations.

Therefore, the May 4,1990 request to extend the implementation date of l Amendment No. 60 is hereby withdiswn.

Attached is the acceptance form by which Entergy Opentions accepts openting and 11eensing responsibilities for Waterford 3 and the signed Amendment to Indemnity Agreement No. B 93. l Should you have any questions, please contact me. )
