Gentlemen: 1 In a September 14, 1990 letter (Letter No. W3P89-1570), you were notified of i Waterford 3's plans to perform a comprehensive review of the existing emergency action levels (EALs) against NUREG-0654, Supplement 1. This ,

review was recently completed und as a result Waterford 3 will be a implementing changes to the existing EALs.

Also,: please. note that Waterford 3 was recently informed that effective July j r 12, 1990,- the. State Legislature officially changed the name of the Louisiana l - Nuclear Energy Division (LNED) to the Louisiana Radiation Protection .

, Division -(LRPD) . The official name of the branch of the Department of l h Environmental Quality in which the new LRPD is located is the Office of Air  !

' Quality and- Radiation Protection. Therefore, as a result of this name -

l- change, we are herewith-informing you pursuant to 10CFR50, Appendix E,

.Section V that changes will be required to the Emergency Plan. These changes will be incorporated into the next revision of the Emergency Plan which is scheduled for issuance as Revision 14 during the fourth quarter of i 1990.
