[ Corporation has consolidated the operation of all its nuclear generating facilities, including Waterford Steam Electric Station - Unit Number 3 (Waterford 3), under one company, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy l'

Operations). This consolidation af fects only the operation of Waterford 31 Louisiana Power & Light (LP6L) will maintain. ownership of the facility. Required regulatory approvals have taken place and on June 6,1990, . the consolidation became ef fective, as indicated in our June 6,1990 letter (copy attached) to the NRC.

(_ Transfer of Operations to Entergy Operations, Inc. -

Amendment Implementation Gentlemen License Amendment No. 60 issued December 14, 1989, authorizea the transfer of control and performance of licensed activities for Waterford 3 from Loulslana Power & Light (LP&L) to Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy Operations) . The conditions in the amendment were required to be implemented within 180 days of the date of issuance and upon the official transfer of responsibilities between LP&L and Entergy Operstions.

This letter is to inform you that LP&L has received all necessary regulatory approvals to transfer operating responsibility for Waterford 3 to Entergy  ;

Operations and all conditions in Amendment No. 60 to the Facility Operating

- License have been implemented. Effective this date, responsibitity for the opemtlon of Waterford 3 has been transferred to Entergy Operations.

Therefors, the May 4,1990 request to extend the implementation date of Amendment No. 60 is hereby withdrawn.

Attached is the acceptance form by which Entergy Operations accepts {
