of this office and Mr. J. Conway of the office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation i
during the period September 1 through October 10, 1987, of activities )
authorized by NRC Operating License DPR-46 for Cooper Nuclear :tation and to l
the discussion of our findings with Mr. G. Horn and other members of your staff
at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included inspection of licensee action on
previous inspection findings, IE Bulletins, IE Information Notices, allegation,
engineered safety feature walkdown, spent fuel shipments, operational safety
verification, security, radiological' protection, monthly surveillance,
maintenance activities, and the annual emergency preparedness exercise. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures '
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
NRC inspectors. The inspection findings are documented in the enclosed
inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
