Si.bj ect: Revised Response to Inspection Report 50-298/88-29 Cooper Nuclear Station DPR-46, Docket No. 50-298 Reference : NPPD Response to Inspection Report 50-298/88-29, dated December 28, 198 . Telephone conversation between Mr. Jerry Everett and Mike Krumland June 30, 198 As described in Reference (1) and as discussed in Reference (2), the Nebraska Public Power District's planned corrective action to Deficiency 88-29-03 was to revise Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures (EPIPs) to permit emergency tag-outs by June 1989. The District has re-evaluated the corrective action to this deficieacy and c6ncluded that a revision to the EPIPs is not the most appropriate solution to this deficiency. A revision to the existing station procedure 0.9, " Equipment Clearance and Release Orders", to allow for its use during an emergency, was determined to be a better solution to this deficiency. This procedure change will be implemented by the end of July '
