Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to provide information regarding liftoff testing of tendons stressed at Braidwood Unit 1 using gauges which were later found to be out of tolerance.
This matter was discussed in the inspection report attached to reference (a) and was the subject of a No tice o f Violation.
In responding to the Notice of Violation we indicated that a liftof f test would be performed on the last tendon stressed on each day the gauges were f ound to be out o f tolerance.
The results of these tests would be evaluated by the architec t-engineer to determine if further action is necessary.
We originally expected to be able to supply a report o f this evaluation by June 30, 1982.
The testing has not yet been done, however, because the work force is still completing tendon work on Unit 2.
It now appears that the testing will be done in January 1983 and that our final report will be available by February 28, 1983.
