Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 Loss of DC Power to DIV II Diesel Generator Control Circuit Reference LER 82-001/01 T-O File 0260/0272/16684/L-835.0 AECM-82/301 On 6/18/82 the Division II Standby Diesel Generator at GGNS-Unit I was started to perform an operating surveillance procedure. Upon loss of DC control power, the diesel generator was shutdown. The incident is reportable in accordance with CGNS Technical Specification 4.8.1.1.3, Electrical Power Systems Reports. Attached is LER 82-001/01 with supplementary information.
The diesel generator failure is considered an invalid failure pursuant to Regulatory Guide 1.108 C.2.e. (4).
