This submittal contains an update to our original certification of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station simulation facility in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR55.45(b)(5). This report contains a description of the previous four years of performance tests, any uncorrected performance test failures with a schedule for correcting any such failures, a schedule for the next four years of planned performance tests, and a description of other testing performed following simulator modifications.
In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR55.45(b)(5), Entergy Operations will submit a similar report approximately four years from this date.

Summary of Major Cha'aes Since Last Submittal 1.
General a.
Simulation of the plant BOP computer was upgraded in accordance with the Plant Data System computer implemented in the GGNS control room.
b.
The simulator radio system was replaced.
c.
A digital Feedwater Control System was implemented in the simulator d.
The core neutronics model was updated to reflect the GGNS 1998 fuel cycle data, e.
The following system models were replaced:
i Standby Liquid Control System i
Plant Chill Water system MSIV Leakage Control System B.
Future Changes 1.
General a.
A simulator rehost project is in progress which will implement a PC based system.

Description of the Previous Four Years of Performance Testing 1.
The transient tests, malfunction tests, steady state tests and computer real time were all completed as stated in the March 1995 update with no failures.
D.
Uncorrected Performance Test Failures and Schedule for Correction 1.
Documented simulator discrepancies are corrected based upon training impact. Currently there are no test discrepancies which seriously impact licensed operator training.
