Staff Acceptance of Vogtle Unit 2 Electrical Penetration Filter and Exhaust System Deletion (tac 65503)

By letter dated June 1,1987, Georgia Power Company (GPC) proposed to delete the Electrical Penetration Filter and Exhaust System from Vogtle Unit 2. This submittal was supplemented by letters dated July'15 and 23, 1987. Based on our review of these GPC submittals, we conclude that the proposed change does not alter the conclusion stated in the Vogtle SER regarding control room habitability and radiological consequences following a loss-of-coolant acci-dent, and therefore, we find the deletion of the Unit 2 Electrical Penetration

Filter and Exhaust System to be acceptable. Our detailed evaluation is enclosed.
