O HOLD POINT NOTIFICATION CONDITION DETAILS An inconsistency exists between specification requirements on the spacing between anchor bolts of different diameters.

The specifications in question are:

C-305 - Design, Furnish, Install & Test Expansion Type Anchor Bolts C-306 - Design, Furnishing and Installation of Grouted Anchor Bolts The inconsistency resulted from the issuance of SCN 13007 against Specification C-305.

RESPONSE

The attached response, Bechtel Letter BCCC-8987 dated February 6, 1984 has been evaluated by CPCo SMO and is considered an appropriate course of action to resolve this issue. A copy of SCN No 14001 to Spec 7220-C-30G will be provided to you upon issuance.

Dear Mr. Quamme:

. Detailed below is our complete response to Stone & Webster's concern with an inconsistency, which currently exists between Spec. 7220-C-30$ and Spec. 7220-C-306.

To alleviate the present inconsistency caused by SCN C-305-130,07 between Spec. 7220-C-305 and~ Spec. 7220-C-306; relative to anchor bolt spacing.

Bechtel Project Engineering is preparing an "SCN (Specification Change Notice) No. 14001 for Spec. 7220-C-306.

The forecast date, for issuance and attachment to Spec. 7220-C-306 is February 14, 1984.

The forecast date, for incorporation into the text of Spec, 7220-C-306 is March 30, 1984.
