NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL 0F APPLICATION FOR OPERATING LICENSE AND TERMINATION OF PROCEEDING - MIDLAND PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 On July 11, 1986, Consumers Power Company filed a motion which requested authorization to withdraw its application for ifcenses to operate Units 1 ar.d 2 at Midland and for dismissal of the operating license proceeding before the NRC Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (ASLB). On December 17, 1986, the ASLB issued a Memorandum and Order granting the motion and authorizing the staff to permit the withdrawal of the application and temination of proceeding.
Enclosed for your use is a Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Operating License and Termination of Proceeding, which has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
