Dear Mr. Bird:
This is in partial response to your letter dated October 4,1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA),
copies of six categories of records related to certain contracts awarded by NRC for reporting services (F01A-85-675). This is also in response to your letter dated May 8,1987, for copies of six categories of records also related to such contracts (F01A-87-266).
With regard to your letter dated October 4,1985 (F01A-85-675), this confirms information relayed during a telephone conversation between you and my staff regarding the scope of this request.
You narrowed the scope of categories two and three of this request to correspondence concerning issues related to contracts awardeo to the listed individual and firms. As you know, certain correspondence related to contracts NRC-18-84-327 and NRC-17-85-207 awarded to other firms was addressed in j
NRC's response to your previous request F01A-84-853, and correspondence q
related to cancelled Invitation for Bids RS-SECY-82-741 was addressed in NRC's response to Mr. Bucklin's request F01/.-82-355. Also, NRC has received from Mr. Gallo and Ms. Riley requests F01A-82-142, F01A-82-143, F01A-82-531. F01A-84-334, and F0!A-84-734, copies of which are maintained in NRC's Public Document Room (PDR), 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20555.
You narrowed the scope of category four of your request to complaints regarding Tayloe Associates, which were addressed in response to your previous F0IA request. You narrowed the scope of category five to any summary reports that would reflect per diem, subsistence, and travel expenses incurred under the referenced contract.
At this time, we are placing the records identified on the enclosed Appendix A into the PDR for inspection and copying. These records will be maintained in PDR folder F01A-85-675/F01A-87-266 under your name.
Certain records subject to category one of your request already have been placed into the PDR. The technical proposal and related records pertaining to Request for Proposal RS-SECY-82-473 have been addressed in response to recjiest F01A-83-141 from Mr. I. Sharp. Copies of the request, NRC's responses, and released records are publicly available under PDR folder F01A-83-141.
