This is in response to your letter dated February 19', 1987, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), copies of-

Except as noted below, the requested documents are enclosed and are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.

The four documents listed on the enclosed Appendix A cannot be located in the NRC's-Central Files.

The enclosure to the one document listed on the enclosed Appendix B is already located in the PDR and, therefore, is not enclosed. The accession number is listed on the appendix.

The one document listed on the enclosed Appendix C contains infonnation which Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation considered company confidential (proprietary) information at the time they submitted the document to NRC.

The enclosure to document one listed on the enclosed Appendix D is the same as document B-5 listed in my response dated March 20, 1987 to a previous FOIA request designated as F01A-87-40. Therefore, only the transmittal letter is enclosed and is being placed in the PDR. The i

enclosure to document two listed on the enclosed Appendix D contains information the General Electric Company (GE) considers proprietary. My staff contacted Mr. Harold Neems of GE, and he has approved the release of the enclosure to you in response to this F0IA request but has stated that the enclosure cannot be made publicly available because of the i

proprietary information it contains. Therefore, the transmittal letter and enclosure are enclosed but only the transmittal letter is being placed in the PDR.
