Dear Mr. Miller:

We are respectfully requesting a short extension on the submittal of the required documents for the relicensing of the UFTR, We are firmly committed to a January 31, 1981 submittal; earlier submittal is possible depending on University of Florida approval.

In support of our request, the following information is submitted:

1. The Physical Protection and Safeguards Plan was submitted on August 4,1980, in compliance with 10 CFR 73.

l 2. The Financial Qualifications Statement was submitted on December 8,1980.

3. The Operator Requalification Plan is completed, has been approve'd by Oper-ator Licensing and our Safety Committee, and will be made part of the January '81 submittal.
4. The SAR is completed and approved by the Safety Review Subcommittee with the following exceptions:

a) Accident Analysis Chapter which is in final type and will be dis-l tributed for review by December 31, 1980.

b) Technical Specifications, which are in final revision and will be dis-tributed for review on January 5,1981.

5. The Emergency Plan has been completed and distributed but it needs revision I to assure complaince with Reg. Guide 2.6 and staff recommendations.

We have made arrangements to have the entire package delivered for printing 0 by January 15, 1981 with an expected 10 day turnaround and mailing by or prior to January 31, 1981. 0 4 0
