Dear Sir:
The enclosed package contains Revision 6 (page 12-2) for the Physical Security Plan for the University of Florida Training Reactor.
In Revision 5 dated April 24, 1981 to the UFTR Physical Security Plan, the word "normally" appears on Page 12-2 on line 3 from the top and line 2 from the bottom. On July 15, 1982, Mr. Dave Moore, the NRC Region II Inspector for UFTR security, as a result of an earlier inspection (June 29-July 1,1982) confirmed by telephone that the word "normally" should be removed as uninspectable from the two places on Page 12-2 of the UFTR Physical Security Plan. Mr. Moore indicated that these two changes had been checked with Don Carlson of the Safeguards Licensing Branch in Washington.
As a result of the inspector's recommendations, a change to the Physical Security Plan is made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(p); seven copies of the changes (Revision 6, dated March 29, 1983) are enclosed for your information. As a result of these two changes the requirements on Page 12-2 are clearly delineated and hence should now be inspectable. Neither change reduces the security level represented in the current UFTR Physical Security Plan.
