Dear Sir:
The enclosed package contains a resubmission of Revision 7 (pages 3-1 and
- 2) for the Physical Security Plan for the University of Florida Training Reactor. Based on a January 30, 1984 telephone discussion with Mr. Dave McQuire and Ms. Cynthia Perny, a corrected R-56 fuel inventory was reviewed and compared with the quoted fuel inventory on the original Revision 7, pages 3-1 and 3-2. It was discovered that in updating PSP Section 3, " Identification of Special Nuclear Material on Site" to include fuel received from UCLA in August,1982, several errors had been made. These errors have been corrected and all SNM properly inventoried, recorded and reported otherwise;in the ap-plicable Material Status Reports. As noted in the Ncvember 22, 1983 Submission ,
of Revision 7, several typographical errors were noted on Page 3-2; in addi-tion several notes have been included for Tables 3.1 and 3.2 as enclosed to clarify them.
As a result of this review and the referred corrections, a change is made to the Physical Security Plan pursuant to 10CFR50.54(p); six copies of the re-vised changes (Revision 7 dated December 1, 1983) are enclosed for your infor-mation and review. As a result of these changes, the PSP identification of SNM on site for the UFTR R-56 license is correct and within the Technical Frecifi-cation requirements on contained U-235.
These changes do not reduce tha security 1cvel represented in the current UFTR Physical Plan.
