Facility License: R-56; Docket No. 50-83 Gentlemen:
The enclosed package contains ten (10) copies of two revisions to the ap-proved UFTR Emergency Plan. The first revision consists of page corrections to the body of the Plan (Pages 5-2, 8-1, 8-3 and 8-4). All changes are marked with a vertical bar in the margin and have been reviewed by UFTR management and the Reactor Safety Review Subcommittee to assure they do not decrease the effectiveness of the Plan.
The second revision consists of changes in the Emergency Response Pro- l cedures contained in Appendix III of the Plan. Page 9 of SOP-B.1, "Radiologi-cal Emergency" is changed to reflect a pager number for the Radiation Control Officer. SOP-B.2, " Emergency Procedure - Fire" is rewritten to assure better classification and response to fire events. These changes have also been re-viewed by UFTR management and the Reactor Safety Review Subcommittee to assure they do not decrease the effectiveness of the Plan.
The entire enclosure consists of:
- 1. Three (3) signed originals and seven (7) copies of this letter of transmittal.
- 2. Ten (10) copien of the UFTR Emergency Plan Revisions.
