Enclosed is Revision 10 to the UFrR Safety Analysis Report (SAR) dated January 1981 submitted as part of our last relicensing effort. Revision 10 consists of changes to a single page. The revision was initiated as a result of comments from a staff member checking material for training purposes. This change has been reviewed by UFTR management and the UFrR Safety Review Subcommittee and is not considered to involve any unreviewed safety question or to impact the UFTR Safety Analysis as outlined below. l Essentially, the change was made because Figure 7-2 (Operating Range of UFTR i Neutron / Power Level Detectors) on page 7-5 was noted to be inconsistent. The figure has two  ;

scales-Power level (Percent) on the left-side axis and Power Ixvel (Watts) on the right-side axis-but the two axes did not agree for the four detectors noted. Basically, the power level (percent) on the left axis had been mistyped so it disagreed with the actual power level (Watts) by an order of magnitude. This error was apparently made during the drawing production i process for the SAR submitted in 1981; since references to the figure are usually for power level purposes, the obvious error was not previously noted. The reworked computer-generated figure is now stored for easy incorporation elsewhere and is better set up for user reference.

As indicated, this Revision 10 change has been fully reviewed by UFTR management and by the Reactor Safety Review Subcommittee to assure no unreviewed safety questions were involved and so is not considered to relax the requirements for assuring protection of the health and safety of the public and of the reactor facility. The change simply updates the Safety Analysis Report to reflect the existing facility and its operations by correcting an incorrect figure.
