Dear Mr. Watters:
This is in response to your October 6, 1988 letter requesting a 30-day extension to the November 11, 1988 scheduled starting date for the next B&W Fuel Company physical inventory.
We have reviewed your request and have determined that granting it will not adversely affect the common defense and security nor the public health and safety and is otherwise in the public interest. Accordingly, we are adding a Temporary License Condition TC(MC&A)-2 to Safeguards Amendment SG-1 to License No. SNM-1168, effective imediately, to read as follows:
TC(MC&A)-2 Notwithstanding the requirements of 10 CFR 74.31(c)(5) and Section 4.1 of the B&W Fuel Company Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan to perform a physical inventory at least every 12 months, the licensee may start the physical inventory scheduled for November 11, 1988 on or before December 11, 1988. This license condition shall expire on December 12, 1988.
