Emergency Plan

Dear Mr. Tedesco:

As a result of our recent submittal of the subject plan, Mr. Don Perrotti, of your staff, has reviewed the Waterford 3 Emergency Plan against the requirements in Nureg 0654. Mr. Perrotti, in a conversation with our Mr.

R. Azzarello on March 26, 1982, identified several areas of the Plan which needed clarification and/or additional information. These areas are discussed below:

Nureg 0654 Item LP&L Response A.1.c and B.6 Figure 7-11 will be revised to include St. John the Baptist Parish Civil Defense /

Sheriff, St. Charles Parish Emergency Preparedness / Sheriff, K.T.H. Fire Department, U. S. Coast Guard, and St.

Charles, Ochsner, and West Jefferson Hospitals.

B.5 Tabte 5-1 willinclude mechanical and electrical maintenance function performed by personnel assigned other duties.

Security personnel will also be included as per the Security Plan.

B.8 Letters of Agreement with Ebasco, Combustion Engineering, AP&L, M.S .S. ,

and MP&L will be provided.

c) Ensuring the EPIPs are coordinated and interface properly with other procedures.

d) Assisting the Training Manager - Nuclear ,

in coordinating and/or providing Emergency Plan training.

e) Maintaining himself current with respect to Federal regulations and guidance that impact emergency planning activities, including appropriate training seminars, etc.
