2. Letter, K. P. Baskin, SCE, to D. M. Crutchfield, NRC, NUREG-0737, Item II.B.3, Post Accident Sampling Capability, April 15, 1982 Reference 1 informed us of your plans to perform a post implementation review of the subject requirement. We were also provided with an attachment which consisted of a clarification of the NUREG-0737 criteria for the subject requirement.

We were requested to provide a schedule for our response within 20 days of receipt of the letter.

Subsequent to the receipt of Reference 1, we were informed by telephone discussions, with members of your staff that our response was not required pending completion of an NRC internal review of the attachment to Reference 1. By telephone discussions with members of your staff, on August 9, 1982, we were informed that a response is now required. The purpose of this correspondence is to provide the requested schedule and combine that effort with a previous commitment made in Reference 2.

Reference 2 informed you of our plans to install in-line chloride and oxygen monitors with a diluted grab sample backup. We anticipated being able to provide more detailed design information by August 1, 1982.

Based on our review of the material presented in Attachment 1 to Reference 1, it is felt that this information should be included in our response to Reference 1.
