The letter requested a response on the reactor coolant gas vent system technical specifications within 30 days of receipt of the letter. It is the purpose of this letter to respond to Generic Letter No. 83-37 for San Onofre Unit 1.
As previously indicated to you in Reference B, we will provide you with a proposed change to the San Onofre Unit 1 technical specifications in response to NRC Generic Letter No. 82-16 approximately 60 days prior to return to power from the current outage. Since Reference A (Generic Letter No. 83-37) is a supplement to Generic Letter No. 82-16, we propose to meet the same schedule.
Accordingly, we plan to submit an amendment application containing a proposed change in response to these two generic letters 60 days prior to return to 8311300131 831123 PDR ADOCK 05000206
