REQUEST VUk ADDITIONAL INFURT1ATIUN SAN ONOFRE UNIT 1 AUXILIARY FEEDWATER (AFW MATI ITIATION D FLOW INDICATION

1. Electrical schematic/elementary diagrams for:

(a) Auxiliary feedwater (AFW) automatic initiation circuits including that circuitry from the channel outputs (channel level relay contacts), through the actuation logic, to the final actuation (slave) relays.

(b)

AFW pump control circuits for both motor and turbine driven pumps.

(c)

AFW valve control circuits for all control/isolation valves in the AFW flow paths and valves in the steam supply lines to the turbine driven AFW pump.

2.

AFW system automatic initiation logic diagram.

3. Piping and Instrumentation diagram (P&ID) of the San Onofre.Unit 1 AFV.system (including steam supply lines for the turbine driven AFW pump).
4. Describe the steam generator level instrumentation at the San Onofre Unit 1 facility. This description should include:

a) Type and number of level channels per steam generator including the range of each channel.

b)

The specific source (vital bus) from which each of these channels is powered.

c) Capability for testing and calibration including intervals between tests.

d) The specific indication available in the control room for each chanel.

5. Describe the periodic surveillance, performed to verify operability of the San Onofre Unit 1 AFW automatic initiation circuits.

This description should include channel checks, channel functional tests, AFW automatic initiation logic tests,

-2 thnnel calibrations, and system functional tests.

Indicate where these tests/calibrations are required by the plant Technical Specifications or propose changes to the Specifications to include AFW automatic initiation system surveillance.
