Subject:

Docket No. 50-206 Amendment Application No. 121 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Enclosed are three executed and forty conformed copies of Amendment Application No. 121 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13. Amendment Application No. 121 consists of Proposed Change No. 125 which revises the Technical Specifications incorporated into Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 as Appendicies A and B.

Proposed Change No. 125 is a request to revise the Appendix A, Technical Specifications to be consistent with the post-TMI required modifications installed during the current outage. These revisions were requested by the NRC in Generic Letter Nos. 82-16 and 83-37 dated September 20, 1982 and November 1, 1983, respectively.

A delayed effective date is requested for Amendment Application No. 121 when it is issued. This request is necessary in order to ensure that adequate time is allowed for revisions to station operation, maintenance, and surveillance procedures that are necessitated by the issuance of the proposed Technical Specifications in Proposed Change No. 125. Accordingly, a delay in the effective date of 30 days after the issuance is respectfully requested.

At the request of A. E. Gaede, effective May 1, 1984, the San Onofre Unit 1 Certificate of Service is to be revised to reflect a mailing address change. Accordingly, the mailing address change is reflected in the enclosed Certificate of Service.
