SUMMARY

OF SAN ONOFRE EMERGENCY PLANNING MEETING A meeting between the staff and the-Southern California Edison Company was held on September 27, 1979 at the San Clemente, California office of the San Diego Gas and, Electric Company to discuss the restults. of the San Onofre Emergency Plan review ithich was conducted.by.jthe NRC staff pursuant to SECY-79-450.

Prior to the September 27 meeting a site visit was conducted to' review the proposed location of the technical support center for Unit I and Units 2 and 3 and to eval uate the' procedures for notification and evacuation of the State beach areas adjoining the plant.

Attendees at the September 27, 1979 meeting are given. in Enclosure 1.. The meeting agenda -is given in Enclosure 2.

As a result of the staff review and the September 27, 1979 meeting, the applicant-licensee wil be requested to modify the San Onofre Emergency Plan in accordance with the staff review conclusions discussed at the meeting.
