Waterford SES Unit No. 3 Docket No. 50-382 Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) Update

REFERENCE:

Please find enclosed 1 original and 12 copies of our updated Final Safety Analysis Report.

This is the first update of the FSAR required under 10CFR50.71(e) and, as such, is being submitted within 24 months of receipt of the Waterford 3 low power license (December 18, 1984). Future updates will be submitted on a yearly basis.

The Updated FSAR reflects the status of Waterford 3 as of June 18, 1986 and, in selected cases, more recent information. Subsequent Plant changes, analyses, etc., such as Cycle 2 reload analysis information, will be included in the December, 1987 update.

Plant changes made under the provisions of 10CFR50.59 through December 31, 1985 were included in the annual report submitted by Reference (1). Additional changes through June 18, 1986 will be discussed in the next 10CFR50.59 annual report currently scheduled for April 1, 1987. In the future, LP&L intends to submit the annual 50.59 report concurrent with the annual FSAR update.
