A routine radiological safety inspection of the Maine Yankee Atomic Power
Station radiation protection program was conducted by Messrs. P. Clemons and
M. Kaminski of this office on June 2-6, 1986. The findings of the inspection
were discussed with Mr. J. Garrity, and other members of your staff, at the
conclusion of the inspection.

The inspection covered procedures, surveys, training, source inventory and
leak' tests, organization, radiation work permits, the respiratory protection
program, and the sand removal project.
No violations were identified and no reply to this letter is required. Your
cooperation with us in this matter is appreciated.
