SUBJECT: EXAMINATION REPORT NO. 50-309/90-16(0L)
During the week of August 27, 1990, the NRC administered an initia1' examination
i
to nine individuals of your company who were applying for a license to operate
the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station. Also, a requalification simulator re-
t
take examination was administered to one licensed operator of your facility.
All examined individuals passed all portions of their respective examinations.
The initial examination candidates will be issued a license and the requali-
fication re-take satisfies the criteria for his six year license renewal.
At the conclusion of the examination, generic issues that evolved as a result

of the examination were discussed with those members of your staff identified
in the enclosed report.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this-
letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
