ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO.117 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. DPR MAINE YANKEE ATOMIC POWER STATION (TAC NO. 77072)
The Nuclear Regulatory Comission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.
to-Facility Operating License No. DPR-36 for the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station (the facility). This amendment is in response to your application dated June 19, 1990.
This amendment modified the Technical Specification 3.14. " Primary System Leakage" by deleting the current limit of 1.0 gpm from all steam generator tubes and establishing a limit of 0.15 gpm from any one steam generator.
In addition, the amendment adds to the basis that primary coolant leakage may be i
indicated and/or identified by sampling and analysis cf steam generator steam samples.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation is also ecciosed.
Notice of issuance will be included in the Comission's biweckly Federal Register notice.
