The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 163 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-36 for the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station. The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your application dated July 14,1998.

The amendment revises the liquid and gaseous release rate limits to reflect revisions to 10 CFR

. Part 20, " Standards for Protection Against Radiation."

A copy of our related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. The Notice of issuance will be included in the Commission's next biweekly Federal Reaister notice.
