On December 14, 1973, we submitted proprietary report NEDE-20179 describing the Monticello Segmented Test Rod Bundle. Revisions to that report were subsequently submitted to the U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission on January 15, 1974; August 20, 1975; July 18, 1977; August 23, 1978; and October 5, 1979. Each of these submittals were provided to document the changes made to the Segmented Test Rod Bundle within the scope of the initially described program.

During our Spring, 1981 refueling outage, we intend to make other similar changes. We are, therefore, submitting five copies of NEDE-20179-4P, Supplement 4, to maintain your files in a current status. The changes are being reviewed, documented and reported in accordance with 10CFR50.59.

Subsequent to the October 5, 1979 submittal of changes, minor revisions to the number of replacement segments were proposed and reviewed prior to the 1980 refueling outage. The changes were documented in the Monticello Annual Operating Report submitted to the U-S Nuclear -Regulatory Commission on February 27, 1981, but since that is a non-proprietary submittal, replacement pages for NEDE-20179 were not included. To maintain your files in a current status, we have also included five copies of the December 26, 1979 revision pages for NEDE-20179-3P.

All necessary information for establishing the proprietary nature of this information was included with the December 14, 1973 submittal; therefore, we request limited distribution of the attached documents consistent with proprietary information procedures.
