-Vashington DC 20555 MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PIANT Docket No. 50-263 License No. DPR-22 NRC License Operator Training Program and Licensed Operator Requalification Program The purpore of this letter is to inform you of a revision to a commitment made several years ago related to the training of licensed operators.
On October 20, 1981 we provided Revision 5 of the Licensed Operator Requalification Program for NRC Review.
NRC comments were received (see letter dated 11/19/81 McMillen to Mayer) and incorporated into Revision 6.
Since that time, we have completed an operator task list at Monticello for an accredited operatcr training program, based on a systems approach to training.
INPO accredited the Monticello training program in December 1987.
Northern States Power Company is a member of the National Academy for Nuclear Training.
Monticcllo will conduct operator training in the future in accordance with the accredited program.
A copy of this program and course outlines for operator training and retraining are available at the Monticello Training Center for NRC inspection.
