On November 30, 1982, we informed you that an evaluation of the cabinets would be complete by the later part of January and requested an extension until February 4, 1983 for completing the reportability evaluation. Since November, the vendor has done a seismic analysis to determine structural integrity of the cabinets as built. The report of this analysis has been received and is currently under evaluation. For this reason, we would request an extension until April 29, 1983 for submitting a report on the reportability of this item.

Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

On November 1, 1982, Mr. A. Hardin of the NRC was notified of a potentially reportable item per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). In our November 30, 1982 letter, we stated this item was also potentially reportable per the provisions of 10CFR, Part 21; this, however, is not correct. Our Quality Assurance program did not accept the equipment through our QA program; therefore, this item is only potentially reportable per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).

Tnanic you for your consideration in this matter.

Very truly yours, 97)?
