Dear Dr. Grace:
On August 22, 1986, CP&L notified the NRC (Mr. P. Fredrickson) of a reportable item per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) on the subject of Electrical Separation. An interim report was submitted to the NRC on September 19, 1986, which described CP&L's planned action to resolve this matter. A projected date of November 10, 1986, for completing the described actions was forwarded to the NRC by letter (HO-860356 (0)) dated October 3,1986.
This letter is to inform you that additional time is required to submit the final report since CP&L is currently in the process of verifying the completed corrective action. It is currently projected that a final report will be submitted by December 10, 1986.
