This is to confirm the October 14, 1986 telephone conversation between Mr. K. V. Hate' (CP&L) and Mr. L. Mellen.
Mr. L. Mellen was informed that the September 21, 1986 potentially reportable item, pertaining to previously accepted structural steel welds not meeting project acceptance criteria, has been evaluated and is considered not to be reportable per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) and 10CFR, Part 21.
