ys (,.) . beam ports, rotating rack and pneumatic transfer systems for experiments - involving neutron radiography and neutron activation analysis. Radio-nuclides are produced for both research and class application, particularly
- classes in nuclear reactor chemistry, radiotracer techniques and other-
- phases of radiochemistry. Puolic service is provid'ed through a number l of channels, including forensic neutron activation analysis services for- ,
law enforcements agencies and numerous public education programs. Although l outside agencies and institutions are welcomed, a large percentage of the reactor users are from OSU. The reactor is normally operated between 4 and 7 hours a day every l weekday, with the most usual power level being 1000 kW. The average energy output per year is approximately 40 MWD. ' The objective of this emergency response plan is to provide a plan of action for coping with radiological ~ and other emergencies, and to mini-mize the consequences of such emergencies at the OSTR. The plan specifies emergency action levels for applicable classes of emergencies, in response to which relavant portions of this plan will be activated.
