Notification of Changes in Facility Personnel Gentlemen:

The purpose of this letter is to provide notification of changes to the personnel shown in the organizational chart of the Oregon State University TRIGA Reactor (OSTR) Technical Specifications as required by T.S. 6.7.c.3.

On December 31, 1996, Dr. George Keller, Vice-Provost for Research resigned his post, but continued to act in that position until June 30,1997. The intention was that this would provide some overlap between him and his successor. Ilowever, the search for a new Vice-Provost for Research has taken longer than anticipated, and is, in fact, still continuing. Until such time as a new person is appointed, the Dean of Research, Richard A. Scanlan will be the Acting Vice-Provost for Research.

in uddition to the change discussed above, Mr. Scott Crail, recently resigned his state classified Reactor Operator position to concentrate on his gradaate work. IIe is continuing on the Radiation Center stalT, part time es a Graduate Research Assistant and will continue in operate the reactor quite routinely. A new person is currently being recruited for the Reactor Operator position.

Further updates regarding both of these changes will be provided when they become resolved.
