JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS JULY, 1980 There were three unit chutdowns (one continued from 6/30/80) and two power reductions in the month of July.

The following safety-related maintenance was performed in July:

1. Replaced bearings and seals on 'B' Waste Gas compressor.

2. Replaced bottom bowl assembly, all shaft couplings and two shaft sections on No. 10 River Water Pump.

3. Replaced '1B' Charging Pump inboard seal due to excessive leakage.

4. Performed PCR/PCN 80-679, delete "Close on Safety Injection Actuation Signal (SIAS) Auto Close" on four centrifugal charging pump mini-flow valves.

fluid line break to #4 (bvernor Valve on the high pressure main turbine which caused IB SGFP to trip on low Ell fluid pressure. This resulted in a steam /feedwater flow mismatch coincident with S/G low level Reactor Trip.
